Most Obscure Battle?
What is the most obscure/lesser know battle you have a decent amount of knowledge of? For me it's the Battle of Barbourville in Kentucky. I actually live about 10 minutes from its location. It was the first Civil War battle fought in Kentucky, but it was a very small battle.โฆ

On this date in Texas History, March 28, 1862: Four Texas raised Confederate Brigades, the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 7th Texas Mounted Rifles are defeated in the Battle of Glorieta Pass in New Mexico. As a result the Confederacy never attempted another invasion of that region.
One thing I find amusing about Texas in the civil war is that the last battle was fought here at Palmito Ranch and it was a Confederate victory. It was a small battle and strategically meant nothing but just kinda funny. Texas was overall not very strategically importantโฆ
Most obscure or unusual battlefield that you've visited.
I'm looking for the most obscure or unusual battlefield that you've visited. Mine is the Battle of Athens on the Missouri/ Iowa border. It was a small battle between Missouri State Guardsmen and Union Home Guards in August of 1861. A few of the State Guard's cannonballsโฆ

While the monument is appreciated, many note that the true battlefield experience requires venturing off a dirt road. It's often recommended as a worthwhile stop when visiting Boca Chica Beach, rather than a standalone destination.
"The actual small trail and palmito ranch itself are located off a dirt road before this roadside monument as noted by some other reviews. The roadside monument itself is nice and has a good welcome sign to boca chica stat park. Good piece of history, not worth going specifically just for the monument but I recommend stopping here when driving to boca chica beach"
