I have seen cottontail rabbits here, turtles, toads, heard bullfrogs and oh so many different species of lovely birds as well. Early morning is in my experience the best time to go if you want to see living creatures.
The main trail is paved and easy walking. You could absolutely take children here, it's stroller friendly if you need one. My six and four year olds have really enjoyed it and had no trouble."
