"Visiting from South Carolina and although I have been here many times, I haven’t been here in the winter. This particular winter, 2024, I came during a very cold, windy, icy season.
I went geocaching around the island and stopped by this boat launch to find my treasure. What was very cool, was not only the view of Mount Baker, but some locals taking a dip in the freezing water.
The area was clean, free of trash and litter .
Although I did not see any picnic tables, you certainly could bring a picnic luncheon sit down by the Driftwood that has piled up on the beach .
Beautiful scenic area to enjoy !
