Visitors overwhelmingly praise the International Boxing Hall of Fame as a must-visit for any boxing enthusiast, highlighting its impressive collection of memorabilia and the iconic Madison Square Garden ring. The staff's passion and knowledge are frequently commended, making for an inspiring and educational experience that deeply connects visitors to the sport's rich history.

"The International Boxing Hall of Fame is an absolute must-visit for any sports enthusiast, especially boxing fans. We drove over three hours to see it in person, and it was worth every mile. The collection is truly impressive, featuring memorabilia, photos, championship belts, and personal items from some of the greatest fighters in history. Walking through the exhibits feels like taking a journey through boxing’s rich past, from the early pioneers of the sport to modern-day legends.

What stood out most was the attention to detail and the way each display tells a story. You can sense the pride and passion that went into preserving these pieces of history. The facility itself is well-organized and easy to explore, with helpful staff who are clearly knowledgeable and excited about boxing. We especially enjoyed the interactive elements and the opportunity to see rare items up close that you would never encounter anywhere else.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just curious about the sport’s history, the International Boxing Hall of Fame offers an unforgettable experience. We left with a deeper appreciation for boxing and its champions. Highly recommend making the trip—it’s an inspiring and unique destination you won’t regret visiting."

"The International Boxing Hall of Fame captures the unique story of the sport of boxing like nowhere else. The museum features the world famous Madison Square boxing ring that was used from 1925-2007. The ring hosted some of the most famous fights of all time. On top of that they have gloves worn by famous boxers, colorful boxing robes, title belts, fist casts, and statues of boxers.
To enjoy the museum you don’t need to have a deep knowledge of boxing. The museum does a good job explaining the significance of certain fights and giving a history of the sport of boxing. If you do know a lot about boxing then it will be easy to spend hours here.
The hall’s “Wall of Fame” is where they have plaques of all the great boxers in the sport. On the wall you can see greats such as Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, George Foreman, and Floyd Mayweather. There are also many boxing promotional posters and tickets from major fights throughout history.
The museum is easy to access as it is right off the NYS Thruway. The museum has two different buildings of boxing history and artifacts. There’s something for everyone to see here."

"While this is the youngest Hall of Fame we visited, it clearly is the one with the most heart. It is packed with amazing boxing memorabilia, from gloves, wraps, robes, hand casts, tickets, programs and photographs. For boxing fans, there is such a wealth of precious memories in every step. The rooms were well organized with amazing items.
There are two buildings to visit, the 2nd housing the original ring from Madison Square Garden and the gift shop. The gift shop includes a vast selection of autographed and authenticated items in all price ranges.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff. So friendly, helpful, informative and professional, starting with Executive Director Ed Brophy. He welcomed us and told us amazing stories about some of the artifacts. He is the ultimate fan and storyteller. He made us feel special in this very special place.
We highly recommend visiting the International Boxing Hall of Fame (less than 30 minute drive from Syracuse)."
