"There are 2.5 miles of sandy, grass walking trails through the preserve, as well as a walkable preserve boundary that goes around the entire perimeter. I also found a frisbee/disc golf area off of the green trail that looks fairly new. This is all great in dry season, but would probably be impassable during the rainy summer. Also, no dogs allowed. The parking lot on Del Prado was built for about 6 cars. There is a lake but I didn't see any fish in it."

"I have been going here daily for a week in the late afternoons. So far I have seen a wild pig and 2 piglets, a tortoise, a very large rattlesnake, several armadillo, and another snake that disappeared in the brush before I could get a good look. I love this preserve and many people bring their dogs. I have spoken to others that have also seen rattlesnakes so I would be very concerned with my dogs. It is a great easy walking trail."

"Love this trail but does flood easy was wet this last visit. Sometimes parking can be packed there only like 6-7 spots. It's a great place to see wildlife and fish. I seen the biggest rattle snake, so I would keep dogs on a leash during season and small children close."
