"My girlfriend and I had a little staycation here this week, and it was absolutely incredible. First off, the property is so beautiful — the greenery, the style of the buildings, and the interior of the main lobby area.
We ended up spending a whole day at the adult edge pool and had a great time. It was a little crowded on a Saturday, but we still really enjoyed it. While waiting for seats, we had some drinks at the restaurant bar above the pool, and our bartender, Grace, was so great. She was fun and enthusiastic and took good care of us. In fact, every staff member we encountered was awesome. Some hotels, the staff can be uptight and super rigid, but we really loved everyone.
The food at the restaurants was really good, which was great because big hotels like this don’t always do a great job in this area. But we enjoyed all of our meals. I especially loved the little coffee shop at the marketplace.
All in all, it was a great weekend, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We will definitely be coming back soon!!!"

"I’ve stayed at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa four times over the last six years, and until now, each visit was excellent—that’s why we returned. Unfortunately, our most recent 4-day stay will be our last.
Customer service is virtually non-existent. Upon check-in, we weren’t given the welcome bags for kids and were told they’d be sent to our room—never received them. Housekeeping left our hotel room door open, and later, a maintenance worker knocked once, then entered our room while my family was inside, claiming he needed to remove a water bottle from behind the TV (which is mounted on the wall).
The beds were so uncomfortable we ended our trip early and checked out Wednesday night instead of Thursday morning just to get a decent night’s sleep. We were also supposed to receive a $100 credit, but it never appeared on our invoice.
Other disappointments:
No pool towels at the pool near our rooms—we had to walk to the main pool to get them and inform staff that our pool had none.
Housekeeping and service issues went unaddressed.
The resort is marketed as high-end, but it no longer feels that way.
To be fair, the property grounds are nicely maintained and landscaped. But overall, Omni La Costa has clearly fallen off and is no longer the luxury experience it once was. With so many true high-end hotels nearby, we won’t be returning."
