"The Clear Creek Trail is a nice trail to hike or mountain bike to the view point which overlooks Clear Creek and the Carson Valley. From the upper start of the trail at Spooner Summit it is roughly ~2.5 miles to the viewpoint from the parking lot. The trail is relatively flat for the upper portion and then begins to descend more at the viewpoint with great elevation change. Peaceful and easy upper trail with great views, and more exposed trail at lower elevations. I have also mountain biked up the lower 4 miles of the trail which is also fairly mellow and not to steep of a climb and offers great views of Jacks Valley. Overall a fun Mountain Bike trail."

Brendan Kiely

"A really nice trail that you can go a long way on if you want, 14 plus miles. The first part is a steady but gradual grade that offers wonderful views of the Carson Valley. The trail diverges quite a bit and is used by a lot of mountain bikers. Lots of nice wild flowers in bloom now!"
