What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Secret Cove's breathtaking beauty, with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and unique granite boulders creating a serene paradise. The secluded feel and natural charm are major draws. However, the beach can become extremely overcrowded, especially in summer, and parking is a significant challenge. Its clothing-optional nature means it may not be suitable for all visitors, particularly families with young children.
"The place is beautiful but way overcrowded.
In the spring when water levels are higher, you're probably not going to find a lot of sandy beach. And even later in the summer, it's so crowded that unless you arrive super early in the day you probably won't find a spot by the lake.
Also, this area is one of a few clothing optional places at Tahoe. If you are the least bit offended by naked people, or if you are visiting with kids, I wouldn't recommend coming here."

"I have been here twice. Once during the summer and once in the spring. In the spring everyone was dressed very modest. There are currently remodeling the parking for secret cove but you can still park on the side of the highway. It is a bit of a hike to get down. It is a small cove with a small beach. There are also rocks and areas around the cove you can relax by."

"I love the beautiful view and clear water! You have to walk so just prepare yourself for the hike back up. I recommend not bringing kids here."
