"The place is beautiful but way overcrowded.
In the spring when water levels are higher, you're probably not going to find a lot of sandy beach. And even later in the summer, it's so crowded that unless you arrive super early in the day you probably won't find a spot by the lake.
Also, this area is one of a few clothing optional places at Tahoe. If you are the least bit offended by naked people, or if you are visiting with kids, I wouldn't recommend coming here."

"I have been here twice. Once during the summer and once in the spring. In the spring everyone was dressed very modest. There are currently remodeling the parking for secret cove but you can still park on the side of the highway. It is a bit of a hike to get down. It is a small cove with a small beach. There are also rocks and areas around the cove you can relax by."
