What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
King Richard's Faire offers a vibrant and immersive Renaissance experience with exciting performances like jousting and engaging shows. Visitors praise the talented artisans and the opportunity to interact with characters. However, the high cost of admission, food, and merchandise is a significant drawback for many, with water prices being a particular point of contention.
"We had a great time at King Richard’s Faire today with my wife and 3 year old son. The venue has changed this year and for a first year at the new location it was an excellent experience. All of the shows and food we had was great. The pulled pork nachos were especially good. My son got to meet the king and was the highlight of his day. We arrived at 10:30am and traffic and parking took about 20 extra minutes. All staff was friendly and I’m sure next year and each following year the new venue will expand and additional character will be felt. Prices are high but with realistic financial expectations you’ll enjoy your time. 9/10 would recommend"

"A nice but expensive renaissance faire! It was our first time at a ren faire so we don’t have anything to compare it to, but there was a nice mix of performers, shopping, and games/rides. There are several stages and each one has rotating shows. We enjoyed the loud mime, unicycler, and the aerial stunts. The joust was also a lot of fun. The food is a little expensive and not anything amazing, but the root beer float was really good! There’s a good variety of vendors but as expected for handmade goods, many things were expensive. It was a really fun day and we spent over 5 hours there, but for $52/ticket I don’t know that we’d go again.
Our number one complaint was that water bottles were $5. We read online that you can bring an empty bottle to fill up, but we couldn’t find any fill stations. Especially on a hot day, it’s almost unsafe to have such expensive water and no other option.
Parking was free and easy to get in and out. There were porta potties in a few different spots around the faire ground. We were there on a nice weather day but it still wasn’t overly crowded and very enjoyable."

"Had a wonderful time, wish I’d gone down the night before so we could have stayed all day. Quite expensive admission, but we were able to get a discount via Groupon.
There were a lot of great performances and great live music! Really loved the bagpipes.
It’s a difficult place to be a vegan, and no outside food or drink is allowed in. Pizza for my niece was $12 for the slice.
The vendors were absolutely amazing. Next year I’ll bring much more money to shop with. Great quality products!
Parking was free, so that a huge plus."
