As a carpenter or lover of historic buildings you can’t help but love a nice carved detail. This is a chamfer stop and you find them around doors or windows. There are many types and designs. This one originates from Hampshire, UK and dates from 1256. I found this in an amazing book by Linda Hall called Period House Fixtures and Fittings: 1200 - 1900. Great for the lover of history or old building...

"This store is amazing! They had everything we needed, and the staff was super helpful. Plus, the history of this place is incredible! It’s definitely worth a visit just to learn a bit about the local area."

Erika Thurston

"Even if you don’t need anything you gotta check this place out!! The vibe was immaculate, they’ve got any type of hardware you’re looking for without a massive mark up like the big guys. I would highly recommend👍"

Ephriam Brock

"Okay, so they had all the screws and covers it needed, but when I got to the checkout, they had a hot sauce. I love extremely spicy hot sauces, so i asked the guy if it was hot while I picked it up to read the ingredients. He says it is, and the ingredients look promising, so I buy it and finish the job, get home to dinner, and pour this stuff on. Wholly hell it is spicy and delicious, if you haven't found a hot sauce that's hot enough for you, you've got to try the one this hardware store has, it's insanely hot and absolutely delicious. It's called Shredder sauce, and it's right by the register. I'll be stopping by for a bottle every time I'm nearby."
