Reviews Summary

Challenge Hill Incline is widely praised as a fun and rewarding climb, offering spectacular views and a good cardio workout. Visitors appreciate its accessibility and the surrounding park amenities, making it suitable for families and fitness enthusiasts alike. Some note the descent can be slippery, and altitude awareness is important.

"Challenge Hill is a great climb. My 11 year old daughter zipped to the top (in her slides) with no problem. Being from Texas my wife and I both felt the affects of the altitude but we still managed to make it up and back down in less than 20 minutes"

James Guzman

"After the one year review of my bilateral knee replacements in Castle Rock, I thought I'd go and take a look at Challenge Hill before heading back to Colorado Springs. I wanted to do the hike at the end of the month, but while standing at the foot of the Hill and watching others climb and come down, I figured I might just be able to do it.
I climbed at a slow place, not knowing if it was going to be too much for me. Several people came and went ans urged me on. I reached the top, took a few pictures of the spectacular view and started my descent. The trail heading down was nice, but because of the gravel-like areas, I had to be careful not to slip, which did not happen. Remember, I have two new knees, so I am certain this would not be a concern for most people.
Later, after reaching the Springs, I called a friend of mine who also has had knee surgery and told him that I would like to climb the Hill with him. We will be doing it at the end of the month. In addition, I spoke with my niece. We will be climbing the Hill of September 5th.
Challenge Hill is definitely not anything like the Manitou Incline, but if you are looking to get in shape, have a nice weekend hike, or just have fun and try something and see some beautiful sights at the same time, Challenge Hill is a great option.
There is also a lot to see and do in the Philip S. Miller park."
