"Stepping into history today at the Benjamin Banneker Museum in Catonsville, MD — a true hidden gem! 🕰️
I felt the spirit of brilliance, resilience, and legacy all around. 🙌🏾
Banneker’s story reminded me that purpose and greatness don’t come overnight — they’re built through patience, passion, and faith. 💫"

"I was able to participate in a 'Call-And-Response' Ring Shout dance performed by Mr. B. Morgan, a professional dancer/ historian. He expounded on how Slaves in the USA used music/dance to express their longing to be free. Also, I made a 'Corn Husk' doll. I will return to learn more about the Astronomer, Mathematician, Poet, and Surveyor, Mr. Benjamin Banneker."

"Nice grounds. Good for a relaxing walk in the woods or around the museum.
The museum is small and not extraordinary, but it shows how Benjamin's life may have been like. The staff were nice and told us a little bit about Benjamin's life. They said there are special, free events at the park on a monthly basis (inc. cooking exhibits on the 3rd Saturday of the month.)
And this place is kid-friendly. My toddler daughter enjoyed playing in the outdoor kitchen and seeing the cabin. You should check it out if you are in the area"
