What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Center Hill Lake for its deep, clean, and warm waters, making it ideal for boating, wake sports, and swimming without the usual hazards of debris or shallow areas. The stunning views of rolling hills and the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere are frequently highlighted as major draws. While generally positive, some may find the dining options limited to marina restaurants.
"This is our favorite place to go boating. We prefer this lake over other lakes in the area since Center Hill Lake is very deep in most areas, free from floating logs or other debris, and smooth water to boat, tube, wake surf, and wakeboard.
Many of the other lakes or rivers nearby are quite shallow. This makes me nervous taking wake boat on them. Center Hill Lake is over 100 feet deep in many areas with most of the larger channels and side coves still being well of 30-40 feet deep.
The water is also clean and warm. It may not be clear water, but it’s clean. I don’t worry about trash being pulled into my water intake on the boat or hitting logs.
There are also several good quality boat launching ramps, places to buy fuel (if needed) and restaurants. There are also boat, jet ski, and houseboat rentals available from the various marinas.
The dam is located on the far western corner of the lake. There is a boat launch, picnic area and restrooms right next to the dam as well.
This lake is also popular for kayaks etc."
