I was homeless. I was down at the AZ Department of Economic Security to get my EBT card (9/9/25 to 9/10/25). The card wouldn't take effect and give me funds for food until 5 am 9/11/25.
On that front and about that third date, rest in peace to those who died on that date 24 years ago and those who gave their lives defending us afterward in the various and ongoing related wars, although I have conflicted feelings about those American traumas.
On 9/10/25, I called Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church to see if they could spare some food. They could, so I walked from Arizona and Elliott to their location on Galveston. It was a very nice sanctuary. They gave me food and shelter through the hottest part of the day as well as food to take with me.
I didn't think it appropriate to pray in the Church itself due to my currently disheveled state. Everyone was extremely nice and charitable. I plan to return for Christmas Mass. I also met a Priest who was nice enough to give some of his time to have a conversation with me.
The photo in the review is along Country Club north of Guadalupe looking south back to where I was provided with charity. I'm sorry I didn't take one for the review when I was there. I've been very overwhelmed by my current circumstances. I'll replace it when I return for Mass at Christmas.
