This is a part of the Louisville area that everyone should visit!"

"I was amazed at how quiet the campground was for such a busy weekend. There were many extended family gatherings. We love hearing the laughter and watching the fun. The campsites are spacious. Some are not well shaded, but ours has a nice oak tree that we enjoyed it's shade all weekend.
This park is a hidden gem.
We love the hiking trails. They are beautiful and just challenging enough. Rose Island is a fun walk and nice historical trip. I wish the information audio stops were better maintained..
Go camping there. You won't regret it."

"I'm amazed this wooded park is about 20 minutes from downtown Louisville. We went in August when all the plants are in full growth mode.
The forrest seemed very dense and reminded me of Forrest Park in Portland, Oregon, but without the ferns. Lots of nature to see, hear and smell! In a good way. Check out the park online to see if there are any ranger-led activities.
The Rose Island trail is very strenuous. Believe the signs that say it's steep. I only got halfway down and had to turn back because I knew I wouldn't make it back up again. That said, I'm really out of shape and lots of other people had no issues.
There are several trails (7?) to check out, overnight camping, a boat ramp, a couple pieces/o servation spots along the Ohio River, and designated picnic areas."
