What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Residents rave about Aqua Tower's unbeatable location in Lakeshore East, its resort-like amenities including pools and a gym, and the exceptional service from staff. The building is noted for being quiet and clean. However, potential buyers are cautioned about extremely strict HOA rental restrictions with long waiting lists, which significantly limits flexibility.
"I live in Aqua 6 months, and Aqua at Lakeshore East is truly one of the best buildings in Chicago. The location is unbeatable—steps from the lake, Millennium Park, and a beautiful neighborhood park. The amenities feel like a resort, with indoor/outdoor pools, a huge gym, hot tubs, fire pits, and more.
The staff and maintenance team are outstanding—always professional, friendly, and quick to help. Building is quiet and clean. Nothing less than 5 stars from me."

"I’ve seriously considered purchasing a property here over the past two months. The building itself is outstanding, from the top-tier amenities to the breathtaking views, it truly stands out.
However, the major barrier for me has been the HOA’s extremely strict rental restrictions. The requirement to join a rental waiting list with a backlog of over 5 years significantly limits flexibility , especially if life circumstances change unexpectedly.
While I understand the desire to maintain a sense of community, this policy feels unusually rigid. I would strongly reconsider purchasing here if this particular restriction were to be softened or removed."

"I love living here (2.5 yrs now) and would definitely consider to buy a condo! Big balconies, perfect views, nice gym, in & outside pool and best location downtown were the reason to choose this place!"
