"Went on weekend, office closed. Trails were easily hiked. Well maintained. Boardwalk closed due to hurricane damage. Were I visiting in the spring or summer I would have insect repellent, and a hat."

"The designated "nature drive" through this preserve is gorgeous! Oftentimes, paved roads bisect properties such as this making for rather uneventful and boring drives. The well maintained and somewhat meandering nature drive gives one a chance to slow down and enjoy the forest in some of its many and subtle forms. This place is beautiful, peaceful and the birdsong and clean fresh air is a gift."

"Love this Preserve. We see something new ever time. It’s a peaceful ride that takes us an hour or more due to the scenery. We have seen armadillos, alligators, birds, butterflies, foxes, deer, and bats. Must get there 20 minutes before dusk to watch the bats leave the bathouse. Truly phenomenal!!! Thousands of bats. Fun for all ages. It’d be a great place to walk or bike as well. There’s a great stream that would be cool to kayak or paddle."
