Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Ross County Heritage Center for its knowledgeable guides and valuable historical exhibits, particularly the fossils and Hopewell artifacts. The affordable entry and generally well-maintained building are positives. However, some find the entry process unusual, the website information lacking, and express a desire for more self-guided options.
"Wonderful tour. Now we need to go back and look at everything more thoroughly. Much to see. Incredible fossils."
Jerry Jacobs
"Well stocked museum area with valuable items of interest, others of good educational value. A true museum look, pride in ownership abounds. Good location, liked seeing that more is being added, and it appears there are volunteers caring for some of the temporary displays. The building seemed in good condition, visually appealing, clean and interesting. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable, having the skill of how to talk to people. Affordable entry. The entryway is a bit confusing, the souvenir area is not pleasantly set up. Bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Front landscaping pleasing. Parking was easy for us that day, not sure abt other times. Mobility could be an issue for some as there are different floors to maneuver, but there IS an elevator. It does seem to require a guide for best experience and understanding of how to get around. That front entryway needs something!"

"We received an exceptional tour. The staff were prepared, professional but down to earth. The museum contained much more than expected. Well worth our time!"
