What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Irvine Park & Zoo is a beloved free attraction, praised for its beautiful natural setting, extensive playgrounds, and picnic areas. While the zoo is considered small and somewhat outdated by some, the park's overall amenities and seasonal events like Santa's Village and the Pumpkin Patch are highly recommended for family fun.
"This is a great park & zoo! We have 3 children 4 and under and are vacationing in Lake Holcombe. The drive wasn’t too long and this is a great stop perfect for an adventure when not looking for an entire day stop. Bear, hyena, cow, eagle, hawk, and other small animals. Two playgrounds, a trail, and views of the river. And it’s free but you may leave a donation if you want. So glad we stopped! Highly recommend a visit!"
Cala Neu
"The zoo is really not the highlight of this park, it's the beautiful green space, playgrounds, picnic areas, water features and attention to renewing native plants that make it great! AND it's free. I am impressed!"
Faith McKenna
"Great park and love seeing the animals. Even better in the summer but we happened to be in town in fall. Great to walk or drive."
