Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the Bunker Hill Covered Bridge for its historical significance and the unique blend of engineering and community art. It's a peaceful spot for a short walk, especially favored by dog owners. However, some are disappointed by the presence of graffiti and litter, impacting the perceived historical beauty.

"I love bringing my dogs here, they’re quite reactive to other dogs and it’s typically very quiet. I love the art on the bridge, glad we have areas that allow our youth to express themselves in a safe way. It can be difficult to (find where to) start, but once you take a couple steps towards the creek, you can find your way to trails, and the bridge itself. Don’t be afraid to wander! There’s plenty to explore, with many off beaten paths."

Hunter Alltop

"Once we parked, we had trouble figuring out where to start walking towards the bridge. Once we figured out which way to go it was easy getting there.

It was nice to see the history boards and information.

We were NOT happy to see all the graffiti on the rocks and on the bridge itself.
We were also not happy with all the trash people had thrown on the grounds, on the path, in the creek, and in the wash gulley.
People are so rude and disrespectful, sometimes."

Steve Dillon (MtLifeIsBetter)

"This was a spur of the moment detour on the way to Cherokee and the historic beauty I pictured in my mind was instead a graffiti-covered disappointment. The architecture of this bridge is a thing to behold once you look past the ugly scrawl of names of people who can only dream of being remembered favorably in the future. It's a real shame there isn't either better security or better upkeep to disduade these types of desecrations."
