Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Verde River Tuzigoot Bridge Access Point for its beautiful scenery, family-friendly atmosphere, and excellent opportunities for kayaking and tubing on beginner-friendly rapids. The ample parking and shaded picnic spots are also highlights. However, some note that the temporary restrooms can be unpleasant and that insect repellent is a must during summer months. Reddit+2

"Decent sized gravel parking with water access and view of Tuzigoot ancient dwelling, Taawaki, Clarkdale and Jerome not far off. Can be buggy in the summer. Sandy and rock trails, some better marked than others. There's an occassional religious group who bring signs and don't seem too friendly (i.e. offish with quiet passeerby hikers who aren't there own. Wont say "hi / good morning" back when just standing around and pass cold looks kind of thing but jubilant with colleagues. Low key weird vibe for around here, but not really a big deal). Trash cans on site. Toward Tuzigoot itself, you can see some 9mm rounds in some signs. Not an official outdoor range / shooting pit though. Dog friendly."

"Nice quiet area. Lots of trees and areas to sit to get in touch with nature. Beautiful scenery. We went on a busy holiday weekend and still found a nice spot. The port a potty.. or temporary restroom was disgusting and overflowing.. they need to have that cleaned more often. Overall, the river itself was great."

Mike Manzanares

"Nice place for family 👪 picnics, swimming, kayak, river tubing or cooling off. Plenty of tree shades and nice hiking trails. Just watch out for loose / unleash dogs. There are signs to keep dogs leashed; don't trust the dog owner when they say the dog is friendly and viciously barks at you and other kids."
