What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kapok Park is praised as a gorgeous, tranquil spot with beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife, especially alligators and turtles, making it a hit with families. Visitors appreciate the boardwalks for safe wildlife viewing and the trails for walking and biking. However, some reviewers note limited shade on trails, occasional trail closures, and basic restroom facilities (portapotties).
"It’s a gorgeous park, simple trails with beautiful scenery of the lake, forest, high trees, we saw turtles and a gator, my kids loved it. Although I’m giving it only 4 stars because part of the trail was closed for some reason. Don’t go Ima. Really hot day in a drought because the trees don’t have much shading on the trails and I got a little sunburnt. Other than that it was a really nice walk with tons of nature and wildlife. I do think it’s needs some maintenance as there was a lot of graffiti on some of the landings looking over the lake but it is what it is! Doesn’t bother me too much but it does look out of place. If your kids love trails and boardwalks as much as mine, definitely check it out!"

"This was a nice park for a walk and to see animals. We saw 2 small alligators by the boardwalk that extends into the water. There were so many turtles!!"

"This is such an amazing park. Reminds me of Boston in the fall. Lots of grassy areas for a nice picnic. Love the trails. Great for walking your dog at and running/ biking. The only downside is they don’t have a restroom just 2 portapotties. When we went the one side of the trail is closed and the bridge that goes over McMullen Booth is also closed. Just to let you guys know."
