What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Sound at Coachman Park is widely praised as an impressive new venue with excellent sound quality and great sightlines from all seating areas, including the lawn. Attendees appreciate the convenient location, clean facilities, and the festive atmosphere created by food trucks. However, some visitors find the concessions, particularly water, to be excessively expensive, and daytime events can be uncomfortably hot due to sun exposure.
"I went to The Sound in Clearwater for the first time last night to see Alison Krauss and Union Station, and I was so impressed with the venue! The location is fantastic, and I loved the set-up with food trucks and beverage stations—it made grabbing something quick and tasty super easy. The bathrooms were large and clean, which is always a plus at a busy venue.
The sound quality was excellent, and the stage plus big screens made for a great view no matter where you sat. We had seats near the back, but it still felt close to the action, and even the lawn seats looked like they offered a fantastic view. The only thing that could make it better is if someone figured out how to heat the outdoors—LOL!
I’ll definitely be back for more shows here. Clearwater really has a gem in The Sound!"

"Super cool venue with a great array of seating options to enjoy live music outdoors. Haven't had a bad show yet. The View is a cool addon for those hot summer concerts. It offers a private bar and AC."

"Saw Counting Crows. They were fantastic with the Gaslight Anthem. Charging that much for water is crazy. It was so hot. Sun was shining, even the 'shade' you are under is not really shade. There was no breeze. No relief from the sun. While the sun is setting its blinding you and you cant see the band as soon as headliner came on. Poor design and everything was so expensive."
