"Such a great space for the community! They have a great calendar of events all throughout the year for everyone— young and old. The children’s section is amazing and we love their summer reading log program. The space upstairs is also great for adults, there’s a variety of areas to sit and study or read. We’re so lucky to have this as a resource in Coeur d’Alene!"

"This is a beautiful library with two levels. The upper level has novels and non fiction and in a cozy corner is a wonderful teen area that is just adorable. They have a very large graphic novel area as well. The downstairs has a mammoth children's area with an enormous amount of wonderful books , including a children's graphic novel area. There is also a separate play room for little ones to run around in and enjoy books and games. Outside the children's area is a small hallway with beautiful artwork on display from local artists. By the front door on the top level is a cozy little used book store with excellent titles on sale for 2 dollars or so, and some are even less. I found two great titles on a free cart as well!
It is August 14, 2025 and this is an updated review. I just spoke to a VERY nice lady at this library. There's a new book I really wanted to read by a favorite author/artist that I love and when I checked the catalog I saw that none of the libraries had ordered it, even though it comes out at the end of the month. I called the CdA Library and asked the librarian if she could put in a purchase order for it and then place it on hold for me. She was exceptionally warm and friendly and she was super helpful. She treated me like gold and I really appreciated it."
