"This is such a beautiful area to hike! We pulled into the parking lot and were immediately impressed by the scenery. It helped that we visited at the peak of fall color.

The trails are amazingly well-marked. We loved the benches that have letters on them to help identify where we were on the trail. We will visit any time we are in the Columbia area."

"Columbja audubon nature sanctuary is a beautiful spot located right in the heart of Columbia not far from the mall. There are trails through the fields and woods. Itโ€™s a great spot to see birds and other wildlife. On my last visit there are now porta potties in the parking lot. Lots of pretty wildflowers and trees. No dogs allowed inside the sanctuary."

Scott Schaefer

"This is one of the most beautiful and inspiring Nature Sanctuaries in the US. Benches are located along the trail with inscriptions devoted to loved ones that are so descriptive they make one feel both grateful and compassion for the losses of beloved family members. The trail leads directly to Fairview Elementary School, and one makes friends with the moms and dads and grandparents strolling or walking the children to school. The path leads to several small playgrounds where children love to walk and play. Wildflowers, trees, butterflies small animals, birds are everywhere. It is a true sanctuary of peace, the beauty and awe of nature, and the generous hearts of all who walk its paths, young and old."
