"So happy we stumbled across this hidden gem. It was a pleasant surprise and it is free to visit! The collection of artifacts was amazing and they had everything from personal effects to large scale vehicles. Jackie who worked the front desk was very knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant. We enjoyed chatting with her as well as learning some new history facts from her. A visit to the SC Military Museum is highly recommended for anyone interested in history. It offers an educational experience for visitors of all ages. Some young boys visiting with their grandparents at the same time as us were really enjoying the treasure hunt offered for younger kids. We will definitely be back to visit again!"

"I am so sorry we had not visited this museum before. It has a lot of interesting displays and information about the military, weapons, and vehicles from the Revolutionary War forward. We spent about an hour and a half, but we could have stayed longer. They also have a great little gift shop. It is free to visit."

"The museum was excellent when I last visited in 2012. But now it has transcended into something spectacular. The collection has grown dramatically, and the exhibits are diverse and focused. If you have not been back in a while, give it another look. If you have never been here, it is one of the finest free military museums out there."
