"A small museum, but very much worth the visit. I would recommend taking the tour with the guide as that really adds to the experience and knowledge that you ould get from the place.
Plenty of historical firetrucks and engines going back to the horsedrawn days, the stables are part of the experience. I was really surprised at how quickly they could get the horses ready to be out of the building and heading to the fire.
Hose drying was an area I hadn't even considered, but the tower is set up to show you how it worked. Well worth a visit and there's an exhibit, aimed at children, to help understand fire safety."
