Reviews Summary

Guests praise the Concord Colonial Inn for its authentic colonial charm, excellent location in historic Concord, and classic New England cuisine, particularly the chicken pot pie. However, some find rooms to be small or dated, and dining service can occasionally be slow or inconsistent. The inn's historical significance and rumored hauntings are also significant draws for visitors.

"Cute colonial inn that is older than the revolution! This was a recommendation that came to us by the ranger at the Minute Man monute, which was pretty cool. We came here for lunch and it's definitely more retiree vibe. There was a fancy ladies tea party the room over. You get that charm that comes from the era and area. Loved the food. We ordered the clam chowder, fish and chips and the "inn" burger, and we loved each of our dishes! Would recommend!"

"We only ate here but the food was good. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and my ordered a soup. The bread was good and the sandwich has a lot of flavor. Their fries were well-seasoned and they have a decent selection of beer. The colonial atmosphere was greatly immersing and charming."

"We were visiting New England from the desert Southwest. Friends that grew up in the Boston area recommended we visit Concord and stay at the Colonial Inn. (They are older seniors now and their fond memories of this location may be a bit dated. Well, if not for its "Colonial History" this hotel would not be a place we would recommend. We arrived early and were helped out by a young man that checked us in early and gave us a room in the Prescott Wing. That was good. Our room was probably remodeled in the last 10 years but it was very small and quite spartan. The location was on Concord's monument square and a 5 minute walk to the quaint downtown. That was good also. Our friends suggested we dine at the Inn. After settling into our room we asked about the dining room and it was suggested that so we make a dinner reservation which we did for the "Liberty Dining Room." We walked from our room to the restaurant podium at our reservation time (one hostess for the two dining rooms) and stated we had a reservation for the Liberty dining room (in the historic part of the Inn). The hostess then told us "we don't take reservations for a specific dining room." She then ignoring us got menus and started walking us back to the Market Dinning Room saying the menu is the same in both restaurants. I responded that we are hotel guests, made the reservation and as the afternoon host asked which dining room would we like we specified the Liberty dining room. I then politely said she could either seat us in the dining room requested or we can go elsewhere and explain the situation to management. In a huff she took us to the Liberty dining room. In retrospect we would probably had been better off eating somewhere else. I ordered the clam chowder that was good but not as hot as it should have been as was my wife's squash soup. Her chicken pot pie was good. I ordered one of the night's specials, a salmon burger and sweet potato fries. The salmon burger came on a very large bun with a chipotle pepper sauce that I must have missed on the menu. It was awful. There were a lot of fries, about 30% were the bits and pieces from the bottom of a bag and were cooked to a dark brown (nearly burnt). The remaking fries were not very good, oily and also over cooked. Needless to say this was a very disappointing visit."
