What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Sewalls Falls for its natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and opportunities for hiking, biking, and river activities. The free parking and access to the Merrimack River are highlights, though the lack of marked trails and amenities like restrooms are noted drawbacks.
"Met a wonderful monthly hiking group at the Sewalls falls bridge parking area to hike up to the two historical spots of the old Dam and generator Mill. There are no marked trails with blazers or signage. Interesting area to explore with remnants of the past along the trail and near the end of the trail you come to an opening with a little beach area to enjoy the Merrimack river. Some of the group choose to extend our hike to the opposite side of the bridge to the rails were the pedal cars were seen coming down the tracks. Beautiful fields and interesting views near the river bed. Awesome sunny day in the 40's."

"Plenty of free parking is provided, but no restrooms. There is a boat launch area and trails extending up-and-down the river in either direction. Dog friendly, but plan to pick up your dog's poop and carry it out. There's no trash receptacles provided."
