Getting ready to hang my show at the Manley Art Center in Brookings. Just finished refurbishing this Trash Reef piece that’s been hanging at the Charleston Marine Life Center for awhile now. Added some new fish and fun new things for visitors to find hidden in the reef. #trashart #marinedebris #plasticpollution #marinedebrisart #makeartnottrash

The affordable admission and engaging, interactive exhibits, particularly the touch tanks, make it a hit with families and nature lovers alike. While not an all-day attraction, it offers a few hours of educational fun and a great glimpse into local marine life.

"Awesome little place with incredibly knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend these smaller museums and institutes. There are places to touch sea life as well as many educational kiosks. We sat and watched a fishing boat unload along with the sea lion who was hoping for some fast food. This is not an all day adventure but rather a few hours. Worth the money for sure!"

"What a great little stop. Some of the employees are so passionate about this place and it shows. We were just about to leave and they asked if we had saw the octopus and the jellyfish (which we hadn’t) and they showed them to us and told us their names. They have creatures all on the first level and then skeletal exhibits on the second floor. $5/person to see the exhibits."

MaKayla Hood

"Not too big of a place but I spent like 45 minutes looking around it was ALOT of fun i drove 2 and a half hours to get there and wasn't upset when I left I also did other stuff in coos bay but this was like $8 totally worth it go see the STARFISH AND JELLYFISH"
