parks for sitting?
hi all, i’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for parks/forested areas where i’d be able to peacefully sit and write or read with minimal interruption. ideally this would be a place where i wouldn’t be sitting in the middle of a trail or in an established picnic table…

Cool hikes for a beginner nearby?
Hello so I’m current stuck with, I have nothing to do besides work during my spring break. So as I’ve been itching to get out of the house, so have the urge to go on a hike lately. What’s something not super far (1 hour max by car) that is a nice hike with a lot of good…
Work traveler!!
Hi! I will be in Downtown Corvallis all next week for work. I will have a rental car but I love exploring cities on foot. Any suggestions as to what to check out? Also, would you say Corvallis is fairly safe? Any areas to avoid while on foot? Thanks in advance!
🐶 Leash Your Pets
Expect to encounter dogs, bikers, and horses on the path. Keep pets leashed.
💧 Bring Water
While the hike is short, staying hydrated is always a good idea, especially on uphill sections.
Lookout points in Corvallis
Does anyone know any nice lookout points in Corvallis? Can’t go to top of Mary’s Peak given I own a small Mazda. But anywhere scenic or honestly just a good place to park a car and look at the stars.

"A short hiking trail with a great view! There is a church right next to the entrance. One good thing about this one is that it has bike trails. There are benches at certain viewpoint for hikers to take a breath and enjoy the view. Overall the trail should take somewhere between 30-60 mins depending on your pace. There is enough space for parking."

"This is a beautiful hike. The gravel parking lot at the trail head is pretty rough and the trail itself is too. This is not a hike that is easily accessible to strollers or anyone who has trouble with uneven and steep ground. Choose the shorter or longer loop. Beautiful trees along the way and a lovely view at the top. Expect to meet other hikers, dogs, bikers, and horses on this path."

"Great place just north of town to hike for a view of the whole surrounding vista! Park just beyond Calvary Church and take the right trail. There are places to rest for some peace and tranquility as well. Polly loves it up here! 🦮🍁🌄"
