"What a great little destination. We drove from Colorado Springs and it was easy and pleasant.
The history of the gold rush was very interesting. We took the little train ride and what fun. We were able to talk with conductor and engineer. We have great pizza from a vendor in the parking lot. Then we went to 6 casinos!
Stopped in Woodland Park for Mexican on the way back."

"So much history! When I went, they had a scavenger hunt going on which made it even more fun! The woman who greeted us (I feel horrible not remembering her name 😥) was so nice! After the self guided tour, went out front and panned for pretty rocks. After a bit of that, my back started to spasm and the wonderful lady working noticed this, offered me her seat (which I respectfully declined) but she did help me to a bench outside. She said she understood because her husband has back issues as well. I will never forget her act of kindness in that moment! Thank you so much!"
