The boardwalk offers excellent views of the springs and the surrounding crystal-clear water, but there is no direct water access from the park itself, visitors must launch kayaks or paddleboards from other nearby locations.
This area is especially well known for manatee viewing, with sightings becoming common starting in November. There’s even a popular manatee cove that can be viewed directly from the boardwalk. The shuttle driver was extremely kind and knowledgeable, we could have ridden with her all day. The water was just gorgeous, so clear we watched fish swim.
