Thoughts On Waterworks Park….?
Planning a fun day with my 8 year old tomorrow. My mom’s pushing for Waterworks Park but my cousin told me it’s awful. She said they let too many people in at once so finding chairs is a nightmare and lines are ridiculously long. So I wanted to ask what you all think about it.…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Water Works Park for its beautiful, quiet atmosphere and abundant family-friendly amenities, especially the inclusive playground and river access for kayaking. While the park offers a lot to do, some reviews mention issues with the concession stand's limited selection and service, and the mulch around some playground equipment can be a minor inconvenience.
"I really liked this park. It’s quiet and beautiful, with plenty of space for walking, a nice playground for kids, and kayaking. A great place to relax and enjoy nature."

"Water Works park/playground is a great location for families and gatherings. There is a good amount of accessible parking, with a new park that was created to be accessible to wheelchair users. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and enjoyed the music section, as well as being able to get to the top of the playset with her brothers as the entire playset consists of ramps. The swings and other equiptment items are surrounded by mulch which makes it a little more difficult for a WC to get through, but they still have a small accessible swing, and a few other fun pieces of equiptment if you can transfer. The river is very accessible for small kids and usually the water level is lower. Bring some chairs and water shoes to walk the small creek looking for crawdads and salamanders down to the river for more fun. Bathrooms are close, but sometimes a bit wet in the summer due to the many visitors getting off tubes/kayaks."

"My nephew had a baseball game. As you enter the park there will be the water park. It was full of kids and parents swimming and enjoying themselves. The park area was towards the back. They had an area to fish. They had a huge soccer field. It was multiple games going on. I found the baseball field. Several games were going on. The park is huge and there is plenty to do at this park. You do have to purchase a pass to get into the water park area. You can pay by the day as well. It's cheaper if you are a resident of the area. I will be bringing my kids back to play at the water park."
