"A must visit in Central Kentucky! Free Parking & Free Admission for the Self Guided Tour of these perfectly preserved cabins. Step back in time then visit The Visitor Center & Gift Shop! Mr. Cline a local historian will greet you with Southern hospitality & charm. I love the Kentucky Shaped Soap! The soap dishes are made by a local artist who also offers Christmas Ornaments. The ornaments are hand stamped with Juniper, Holly, and Mint leaves then painted with water colors and fired in the Kiln. Books filled with historical information are for sale and they offer a wide variety of free pamphlets. Local Gifts make The Best Gifts!"

"This is where it all started for Kentucky! Charming small historic park in downtown. Picnic tables, bathrooms, street side parking and some visitor information. Accessible buildings were closed on the day of my visit. Enjoyed my lunch there and walked around historic downtown. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming."

Will Handley

"It was very pleasant! I went there with my sister. We walked around and saw that our 43rd governor was named Ruby Laffoon. That was interesting. We also stopped by the old log church and I had some pictures taken. They turned out very good. All around, it was very good and normal."
