"My wife and I visited over the Memorial Day weekend and had a pleasant time touring the grounds and the Houmas House. The grounds were in very nice shape and enjoyed reading the signs around the property giving more details about the property. We had hoped to see more of the grounds and learn more about the slaves living conditions and housing which we didn’t get any info. We did enjoy eating at the carriage house and the food was very good. We had the redfish, shrimp bisque."
