What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Centennial Park offers a large green space with diverse amenities like a dog park, playgrounds, and riverside trails. While praised for its recreational opportunities and the iconic Parthenon replica, some reviews note a lack of trees, occasional flooding, and a noticeable homeless presence in certain areas. Overall, it's a functional park for outdoor activities and community gatherings.
"Open space along the riverfront with dog park, playground, biking trail, skatepark nearby, and walkway that takes you underneath the Centennial bridge. It’s usually pretty quiet and secluded down here. You can easily find a place to park and there’s shelters with tables for a picnic or similar informal gathering.
This certainly isn’t one of the nicest parks in the city. I personally think they should plant more trees in the open areas and turn it into a riverfront forest. Maybe adding in a second playground would be interesting too. But then again, this whole area does flood pretty often, so I could see why not much is done down here unfortunately.
Perhaps a flood wall instead?"

"I love to fish here. Lots of drum and channelcat fish in the area. Cool dog parks. Too much homeless presence in the area however."
Lee Miller
"So this is a combination review of the river view trail and parks from Veterans memorial to sculpture park, approximately 4 miles. Nice views of river but as with many metro areas, there is a vagrancey issue at multiple parts of the trail. Trash, graffiti and loitering were present at same. From a tourists perspective, this is not a destination area and I cut my visit short as a result of same. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming. All bathrooms were closed for the season. Parking was plentiful and large enough for any size rig or RV."
