Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Edge of the World Rapids for its refreshing natural beauty and accessible trails, making it a great escape for families and dog owners. While the main boardwalk is pleasant, some find the unmaintained sections overgrown and wish for better trail upkeep. Parking passes are required, and it can get crowded during peak times.

"The Edge of the World Trail is such a refreshing escape into nature. The trail itself is short and easy, making it perfect for families, kids, and even older visitors. What makes the walk special is the little waterfall along the way, paired with the peaceful sound of running water. You’ll spot colorful mushrooms scattered along the trail, which adds charm to the experience. There are wooden benches at different points, so you can pause, relax, and soak in the calm surroundings. We can also do fishing here, which makes it even more enjoyable for those who like spending time by the water. Beyond hiking, the area is also great for tubing, picnics, and dog walks, making it versatile for different kinds of visitors. Parking is easy to find, and even the drive leading up to the trail feels calm and scenic. The name β€œEdge of the World” itself adds a fun and interesting touch.πŸ₯°πŸ₯°"

"There is a wooden trail (handicap trail) at first close to the water once it’s over the dirt trail begins, there are a lot of water access entries. There’s a big parking lot but you’re supposed to buy a parking pass online or by phone. It’s 5 dollars. The actual hiking trail is a loop and is great but the trail is very narrow. A loooooot of spider webs at this time around and there is a lot of tall weeds so I would recommend wearing long pants and long sleeves because it doesn’t really seem like they maintain the trail at all. I brought my dog along and she did fine so the trail is dog friendly. Also, I did not see any restrooms in the parking area so just FYI, maybe I just missed them."

"Beautiful area. I went down the stairs and to the left. The boardwalk ends at rocks. There are no markings for trails. I found that disappointing. I went on the highest trail. It had a nice little stream for my dogs to walk in. I heard people talk8ng and turned around. It sounded like they were calling their dog. I didn't want to have an encounter with any off leash dog so, we made our way back to the car."
