"I would like to tell this Congregation thank you! For all of them coming together to use their funds to help people. They don’t make you join them, they are not tryin to preach to them help you. Just straight forward. The only thing o don’t like is the way you have to wait for the help in the morning! There are some people that know the poor person system and if you don’t know it they will keep you from getting the help you need. I’m glad I stood my ground. I really do appreciate the ladies and gentleman that take their time to come and make sure we can get the help. The security people are cool, too. Like I said, you just have to worry about the other poor people that come repeatedly and have set up their way. If you need help don’t let anyone out there deter you.
They have a line and you have to make sure you are in it, but you stand your ground, cause if they are friends or don’t like who you are they will try and cut you out of the line or let their friends get in the line before you and it’s their word against yours. The security person comes at a certain time. GET THERE EARLY

"This is not about burning bridges, this about protecting what is mine. Im homeless and there is no food or Healy here or anywhere else in Decatur. You got to believe that what you are saying and doing is right, if it isn’t true then leave and move over for someone who has faith. This church and everyone else has failed the community and their selves. Police brutality shouldn’t exist or be tolerated here or anywhere else. This city will have to deal with this problem whether they like it or not. Everyone is entitled regardless of their religion or culture. God did not divide us all. We all created equal!"

"Lived in Decatur all my life and never needed services for being outside. Thought this church might be of help, these people (panel of 4 people) took down my social security number dob and full name under the guise of giving me monetary assistance, of $150 but instead gave me a Walmart, Chipotle card and 3 r/t marta cards a totaling $65 and an agreement to pay on my storage bill. Said they would call wether they could pay or not. That was noon yesterday haven't heard not a peep since.
Liars....and I dont understand. I waited from 10 pm Sunday night for the Monday help where they help pay your storage, phone, and bills hotel rooms. You wait in a line with no kind of organization. The homeless people be out there trying to fight each other about a spot for only 18 people. This was my 3 Monday coming and being shoved to the back by people in the front letting there friends in and just like that you number 30. I was 3rd in line this morning. I asked for assistance with my storage bill that's overdue, that's it that's all 1 bill. Not a Walmart card not a chipotle card no CARDS NOTHING BUT HELP with whatever they could pay. These people sat in my face played like they were gonna help me told me to sit to the side in earshot of them paying each and every single person phone, storage and even hotel rooms for a week (multiple bills for 1 person). I did not hear them ask any1 else for their ss# so I dont know if it's because they had been there b4 or what. Helped all 17 people then told me at 1st they were paying using the automated system, but by noon they were waiting for a person to call them back....huh? These same people show up here week after week and receive monetary help i ask 1 time right before im back together and they play games with me.They even got a dude a hotel room for a week because he got a friend that "employed " him" no proof of work like a welcome letter or and kind of verification besides them coaching him into saying he own a business snd employed him. No company website nor main office to call just vouched like he worked for him. This place a joke, and the lady had an attitude with me for whatever reason Wrote down all my info in a tablet, but didn't help me with the 1 bill I had and I start a new job this week and would be able to maintain. Tried to talk me into just giving my things up instead of paying the portion they said they would. Its ok I will return next Monday to give them back the cards they gave me that I didn't need anyway. This place was a complete waste of time for me asking me what I need help with so they could not help me with it....? This the only kinda church people I ever meet....SMMFH
I dont care what reviews they have these people should be ashamed of themselves showing up like a church but really on the same georgia crap. Treating people who they feel didn't deserve something like trash. I would not recommend georgia at all. This not the only place like that here living here all my life these the only kinda of places I've seen here."
