"First time ever coming to Decorah and wow, I am impressed! This small but mighty waterfall is absolutely stunning. Love the little stream coming up to it, too. Short walk for beautiful scenery.
My sister and I also enjoyed Ice Cave, although I would recommend a good flashlight if you wanted to go into the cave. Hehe.
Can't recommend enough!"

"Google maps sent me to a garage on the opposite side of the river when Dunning's Spring was entered saying it avoided closed Ice Cave Rd. The very nice parking lot is actually at the beginning of the closed section of Ice Cave Rd coming from the West. The paved trail to the spring is at the very entrance of the parking lot. Lots of good signage. . . if your not distracted by people walking in front of your car. 😏"

"An easy hike to a beautiful waterfall! The waterfall is an easy walk on a paved trail from the parking area. We walked with my senior parents and a stroller with no issues. The kids loved walking through the water on a hot day. A few of us hiked to the top of the waterfall and around to the other side.
The parking is easy access to Ice Cave as well, another easy hike.
We came back a 2nd time to fish on the river and caught a few trout (and let a giant one get away).
Beautiful area and a must-do when in Decorah."
