If you live close to the station, and use Uber the ride is free and you could request a $ 5.00 coupon off from Uber that could be used 2 twice a day.
To get to FLL you have to use the free bus from the train station to the airport."

"I was using the tri rail and used the bathroom before going on the train for 2:52 which then got delayed 30 minutes so I had to wait to use the bathroom on the tri rail only for it to be impossible to open the door. I then was trying to go in the office to use a public bathroom. Security guard was rude and tell me that I should have read the sign and I was telling him everything and he told me to just use the gas station which I do not feel safe doing as a disabled woman. He was telling me to just use the bathroom across the street even though nobody can use the bathroom unless they purchase food or a drink. He cut me off When I was trying to explain that you have to purchase a drink or food to use the bathroom. He didn’t even explain anything. He just told me to read a sign. That especially doesn’t work when there’s Spanish speakers who speak English, but I have a hard time reading English, and therefore can’t read the sign"

"Plenty of space. Clean. Machines worked fine. Open air. Its an amtrak station for commuter rail. Good website with info on prices, routes. Waiting on train, but other direction was on time. We will see if they have luggage space on the northern cars as published online. $26 beats a $130 uber to maimi international airport."
