What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Historic Deerfield for its beautifully preserved historic homes and picturesque village setting, offering a peaceful step back in time. The knowledgeable guides and the unique farm demonstrations are frequently highlighted as enjoyable aspects. However, some guests note that limited tour times and occasional closures of houses can impact the ability to see everything.
"It wás very peaceful but probably because all the exhibit houses were closed. We did go to the visitor center and then had a lovely walk up and down the main lane. Afterwards took a nice walk down a grassy path and back.
I'd like to come back and see inside the houses They must be beautiful.
I found the small plaque dedicated to slaves who had worked in each home thought provoking."

"Many houses to tour, you can easily spend several hours here. There is a great gift shop and hotel and dining that I did not go to but looked really good. My favorite part was walking the trail alongside a working farm. I loved watching the dog herd his sheep! The tour guides were all incredible, highly recommend asking to see the Stanley round stove—genius!"

"Beautiful 1700's town if you love historical homes this is for you. The foliage was beautiful and the decorations."
