What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Museum and Empower Field tours for their informative content and engaging guides, especially for Broncos fans. However, some feel the stadium tour lacks the exclusive access and interactive elements found at newer venues.
"I had the best time ever on my " sports USA bucket list". First a great look around the Hall of Fame then Sean's guided tour was informative well paced for the varied ages of the group and he answered everyone's questions. I came from Australia to do this as part of my trip to the Open Tennis
It was so amazing to get behind the scenes from corporate boxes, media rooms to locker rooms and finally to stand on the edge of the playing field. Well worth it if you're a Broncos fan"

"Recently on a MLB trip to Denver we took a tour of Mile High. As a Bronco fan for over 50 years I was really hyped as the date grew closer. I can say this was the best tour I have ever done. It was a great time and well worth the funds. Our guide was a great guy and the tour was really entertaining. GO BRONCOS!"

"Bought a timed entry way in advance for FIL (we visited in July), who is a huge Fan, and it was even better than we imagined. I am not a Broncos fan like he is, but we are dedicated to helping him, an 80 y/o, fill is bucket (list) and this tour was impressive. The Hall of Fame is well researched and expertly presented. Our tour guide, Vicky, was patient, kind, informative, and well paced for the multigenerational group. We were a small but mighty group of mixed fan bases and she expertly accommodated all of us. Even if you are not a Broncos fan, the information and tour are impressive. We ended at gate 10, the gear shop, and Dad was able to take photos with his fav Hall of Famers, and pick up a trinket in the shop. In the off season it is a shame that we still could not visit certain places in the stadium, aka the home team locker room, but the visit was great all the same!"

The Empower Field at Mile High Stadium Tour Experience
However, some reviews suggest that the tour could offer more exclusive access. Unlike some newer stadiums, visitors might not get to step onto the actual field, access the home team's locker room, or participate in interactive activities like kicking field goals. The visiting locker room is usually shown, but the home team's sanctuary remains off-limits. This can be a point of disappointment for those expecting a more comprehensive behind-the-scenes experience akin to tours at SoFi or Allegiant Stadium.
Despite these limitations, the tour is still widely considered worthwhile, especially for dedicated Broncos fans or those interested in the history of sports in Colorado. The Hall of Fame exhibits, often integrated into the tour, provide a strong foundation of the state's athletic achievements, making it a well-rounded experience.
Colorado's Diverse Sports Heritage
Visitors can expect to find exhibits detailing the careers of legendary figures who have made their mark on national and international sports stages. From Olympic medalists to professional league stars, the Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have inspired through their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship. This diversity in honorees provides a unique perspective on how sports have shaped Colorado's identity and culture.
For those interested in specific sports, the museum offers a chance to delve into the history of skiing in Colorado, with mentions of snowsports legends and their contributions. This inclusive approach makes the museum a valuable destination for anyone interested in the broader landscape of American sports history, with a distinct Colorado flavor.
