What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Drayton Grant Park at Burger Hill for its absolutely breathtaking panoramic views of the Hudson Valley, especially during sunset and fall foliage. The unique carved benches and the rewarding climb are also highlights. Some find the hill steep and paths muddy after rain, and traffic noise can be noticeable.
"I’ve walked here a few times but not in years. It was always a beautiful place for a short walk but now there are more walking paths and benches to sit at and enjoy the amazing views. Being late October the trees were in their full Fall colors.
There are three benches at the top of Burger Hill. Each bench has some of the mountains you can view carved into the rock bench tops, which is a very cool little detail. You have a 360 degree view to enjoy while sitting on the benches.
The parking lot is large and cars seem to come and go often. I guess this is a park most people spend under an hour at. While there will often be people at the top, you will find a path a little way down from the top that goes around the western side with all the Catskills peaks. There are two benches down this path giving a little more privacy."

"Clear signage from the road. Ample parking. I went on a cool October Sunday the day after heavy rains. Definitely some puddles, mud, crab apples, and slippery grass. Wear good shoes and watch your step.
I won’t downplay this hill. It’s a steep hill, and I had to stop to catch my breath multiple times. But while catching your breath, turn and look out at the breathtaking sights. Beautiful homes nestled amongst a backdrop of blue mountains. And then the views from the top are amazing. There were a lot of people on the main path, and traffic could be heard the whole time.
Other than the main path up the hill, there is a small side trail that goes to a wooden dock. The trail ends abruptly past the dock. There is also an elevated area with a bench and multiple pollinator houses. This trail continues on to the property next door (Green Acres?) but it felt like trespassing, so I turned back."

"Great views. Short hike but awesome for sprint intervals. 3-6min up depending on pace (light jog or steady run). Run up this hill 3-5x for an awesome cardio workout."
