What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the mesmerizing experience of watching massive freighters pass under the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge and the picturesque Canal Park Lighthouse. The piers offer stunning views of Lake Superior, especially during golden hour, though parking can be a challenge during peak times or events.
"This pier is truly one of the best spots within the Duluth city limits for staring out at the vast, seemingly endless blue expanse of Lake Superior, the nearby city skyline, and the surrounding hills. The lighthouse at this pier and the other two two lighthouses within the vicinity as well as the nearby aerial lift bridge are also fascinating engineering marvels to gaze at while exploring this area. Apparently, this is a popular spot for visitors and tourists to watch cargo ships that have traveled throughout the great lakes enter into the Duluth Harbor before arriving at the port where the cargo will be loaded or unloaded."

"Golden hour is the best time to see any place!
Here it feels like you are lot on the lake, but on the oceanside!
Not many people on Saturday evening, after marathon. Parking was troubled due to the event; and there is an ongoing construction on the pier, but you can still go around and reach the lighthouse."
