"We really enjoyed our visit to Averasboro Battlefield! The small indoor museum is full of fascinating artifacts — most of them were found right there on the battlefield, with some donated by the community. It’s a nice building, very clean, with well-kept bathrooms and even a picnic area outside, which makes it a great stop for families. The lady we spoke to was so sweet and welcoming, and it made the visit feel extra special. I also picked up some locally made honey in the gift shop from Wehrloom Honey (out of Robbinsville, NC). It’s labeled as Appalachian Mountain Honey, and it is absolutely divine — I can’t wait to cook with it! Definitely worth a stop if you love history and want a peaceful, well-cared-for place to explore."

"Small, quaint, yet awesome museum! Tons of information throughout your entire visit. The gentleman that was there offered us the opportunity to watch a brief video prior to us looking around. I really liked that! It set the foundation to all we were about to learn. The gift shop had much to offer!"

The gift shop has a little bit of everything from novelties to hand-made crafts to a wide collection of fantastic books and maps. An absolutely fitting tribute to our fallen American brethren.
