The lady we spoke to was so sweet and welcoming, and it made the visit feel extra special. I also picked up some locally made honey in the gift shop from Wehrloom Honey (out of Robbinsville, NC). It’s labeled as Appalachian Mountain Honey, and it is absolutely divine — I can’t wait to cook with it! Definitely worth a stop if you love history and want a peaceful, well-cared-for place to explore."
