It's described as a neat, historical location perfect for a peaceful walk. While its historic registry status changed due to modifications, its charm and accessibility remain its strongest assets. Wildcraft Rose

"Antelope Creek Bridge ( aks Little Butte Creek Covered Bridge)

This 58 ft queen post truss bridge originally spanned Antelope Creek and was built in 1922. It was listed on the national register in 1979.

In August 1987, the structure was loaded onto a makeshift trailer, and volunteers hauled it to the city of Eagle Point, OR.

When the bridge was rebuilt at the new site, arched openings were cut into each side so school children could be watched as they crossed the span. This alteration caused the bridge to be removed from the National Register of Historic Places.

Since then, the bridge has been re-sided in a fashion that represents the original design. Now only ribbon openings appear under the eves."

Marty Miller

"This covered bridge is in the most beautiful town. The visitors center is great. They have a lot of information on places to visit."
