"It was as neat to see this area and see Peoria from across the river and walk the trail. The memorial bench in my one photo is for Gary Richrath."

"I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby and needed to find a walking trail nearby. This one was the closest and literally started from the parking lot of my hotel. Not a super long trail, but it gets the job done for getting some exercise while on the road for work.
The walking path is entirely paved with asphalt and well maintained. What is really nice is the path takes you by the bridge and waterway into Peoria. Very scenic.
Tip: For REO Speedwagon fans, stop by the bench by the water that is dedicated to one of its founders of the band, Gary Richrath, their guitarist."
