Unfortunately you cannot bring dogs, but its still a great place to bring your family and there is no charge or membership required for entry/parking."

"I had a most enjoyable first visit to SERC and am looking forward to returning again in the future. Loads to see and do as the property is vast with nature views. Everywhere I walked I was submersed in birds talking, butterflies and bees doing what they do and trails to just enjoy nature. The center was filled with knowledge, art and live animals known to Maryland. The bathrooms were very clean as was the entire area inside and out. Definitely need time to capture it all but it's a hidden gem that deserves evrything you can give it. Hummingbirds anywhere are always a treat to me and I saw a couple buzzing in and around the bird feeder."

"Nice spot for a walk with a toddler. Not super stroller friendly so in I would recommend baby wearing or just walking (our under 2 year old child almost do the 1.5 mile Java Trail loop. Reed education center is where must park has a public bathroom with changing table. The Java Trail is mostly flat and had lots of bridges and colorful trees. It also s wings right by the water for great views of the kayaks and airplanes."
