There are three ladders along the Endless Wall trail. They are mostly used for climbers to get up and down the rock face with ease but anyone can use them. They are a bit steep so if you are afraid of heights you are probably better off with sticking to the trail. #outdoors #trail #almostheaven #placeibelongwv #exploremore #nationalpark #wv

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Endless Wall Trail's breathtaking, 'endless' gorge views and moderate difficulty, making it a highly recommended hike. While the main path is clear, some note unmarked side trails to overlooks. The beauty is often described as both stunning and a bit terrifying due to unfenced cliffs, requiring vigilance, especially with children.

"This was a great hike. We really enjoyed it. The trail was not marked but easy to follow until the edges where trails split from people seeking views. There were lots of little points with nice views of the river, gorge, and bridge. The hike wasn't too hard, it can be about a 3 mile loop if you walk back along the road, or just an out and back but I'm not sure if that is much less distance. The views were great. Weather was clear and beautiful for us. It was very peaceful to listen to the wind. This was a nice hike with some great views and places to relax."

Paul and Lillian Bruns

"Both beautiful and terrifying at the same time, this trail offers some of the best views of New River Gorge that you could ever experience! The trail itself is not very difficult, but beware of your children. The cliffs are right there, so you need to be careful with them and keep them tethered to you. I may be overprotective, but I recommend not letting small children off the main path. It's a great experience for young adults and adults!"

Luke

"I can definitely see why this is one of the most popular hikes in the park. Easy hike with incredible views even on a cloudy day. We parked at the Nuttall lot, it has a single bathroom, and hiked to Diamond Point and back since it was starting to rain. Main path is well marked with lots of little paths that go to the edge to take in the view."
